Roslin Technologies’ recognition as an EIT Food RisingFoodStars 2026 Verified Scaleup is an encouraging milestone and a strong example of why patient, early-stage capital matters.

One of Milltrust’s longstanding priorities has been to support science-led companies from their earliest stages. In 2016, Milltrust backed Roslin Technologies through a £10 million seed investment, which became one of the first investments of the British Innovation Fund. The fund was established to invest in innovative UK university spinouts and was strategically exited in late 2021.

Today, Roslin Technologies remains part of the Future Health Fund’s pre-seeded portfolio. Building on the work of the British Innovation Fund, the strategy focuses on opportunities across Food, Health and Planet, including agri-tech, healthcare, climate impact and alternative proteins.
